South Florida Boating Club: A Captained Boat Club in Palm Beach

Most boat clubs in Palm Beach work the same way. You pay an entry fee, then monthly dues, then fuel on each outing, and you drive a shared boat yourself. The boats usually top out around 24 feet. The South Florida Boating Club works differently. You buy a package of five trips. You use them on any boat in our fleet, whenever you want. A USCG-licensed captain drives. There are no monthly dues.

The package costs $10,000 for five charters. That works out to $2,000 per trip on boats that normally charter for $690 to $9,999. Members get priority choice of the fleet and the best pricing we offer.

Call or text (561) 945-8527 to ask about membership. We answer 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week.

How the South Florida Boating Club Works

The idea is simple. You want to be on the water often, but you don't want to own a boat or drive one. Here's how it works:

  1. You buy a five-trip package for $10,000.
  2. You call or text when you want to go out. Members get first pick of available boats.
  3. You choose any boat in the fleet, from a 22-foot day boat to a 122-foot yacht.
  4. Our captain runs the trip. You bring your guests and relax.
  5. Your package never charges monthly dues.

Trips can be 3 to 4 hours, 6 to 8 hours, or a sunset cruise. Fuel and captain are included in every trip. Gratuity for the crew is extra, same as any charter.

Boat Club vs. Boat Ownership vs. Rental Apps

Here's how the three options compare for someone in Palm Beach who wants to boat a few times a year.

A dues-based boat club. Entry fee plus monthly dues, fuel billed per trip, and you're the captain. Good if you want to drive. Costly if you only go out a few times a year.

Owning a boat. You pay for the boat, the slip, insurance, maintenance, fuel, and storage. You drive it, clean it, and fix it. Many owners use the boat far less than they planned.

Peer-to-peer rental apps. You book a stranger's boat each time. The captain, the condition of the boat, and the real price vary trip to trip. Fees sometimes show up at the dock.

South Florida Boating Club. You pay once for five trips. The boats are company-owned and insured. The captain is ours. The price is set before you step on board. You never see a slip bill or a repair bill.

Who the Club Is For

The club fits a few kinds of people well:

  • Palm Beach and Jupiter residents who host guests on the water several times a year
  • Seasonal residents who want a boat waiting when they arrive, with no off-season costs
  • Business owners who entertain clients on the water
  • Families who want a captained boat for holidays, birthdays, and school breaks

If you'd boat once a year, a single yacht charter is the better buy. If you'd go out three or more times, the boat club pays for itself fast.

Why Choose Our Boat Club in Palm Beach

South Florida Yacht Rental has run charters in Palm Beach since 2001. We own and insure every boat. We staff every trip with our own USCG-licensed captain. There are no peer-to-peer listings in our fleet.

Boat club members get the same boats and captains our charter guests get, with first pick of the calendar. In season, that matters. Weekend yachts in Palm Beach book out weeks ahead. Members move to the front of the line.
